The insides of the cabin had a bit of scratch building added as there was no seats in the gunners positions. The main gears struts would also have been visible inside so I covered them using air dry clay. The seats were made out of styrene rod and foil.

The outside of the chopper also had a small amount of work added around the main and tail rotors. I wanted to have this chopper looking like it had been in theatre for some time hence the weathering and chipping.

The two USAF figures were taken from an Hazegawa ground crew kit and the British military ones are Airfix. Those who have followed the build thread for this dio will have seen my grumble about these figures. The lack of possible poses inhibited what was achievable.

The base is just an old picture frame with some sand borrowed (on a permanent basis) from the grand kids sand pit.

Excellent dio.Terry. Simple, but very effective and captures the moment nicely.

                  Great pictures too!
