    Building Scale Pallets.

Hey Gents been awhile, work has been keeping me from the bench!

As the title suggests I am looking for advice and techniques on building realistic looking 1/72 scale wooden pallets.

Thanks, I'm sure that you guys will be able to help!

    Steve.

Id use coffee stirrers now they would be out of scale in 1/72 but if you push them together so there are no gaps and score them down the middle it should look like thinner planks

For the beams that seperate the top and bottom I'd use a thin piece of balsa cut to size

      A Europallet measures 1200mm x 1000mm ........ So 1/72 scale will give you......

      16.6mm x 13.8mm

Buy them from any self respecting model railway shop ready made, Bachmann and model master spring to mind. I used one on my Nimrod build. Try Alton Model Centre.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

If you're in Cornwall then try Kernow Model centre, I think they are in Camborne.
