I haven't been able to do much on this lately but I have managed to finish my first stand alone figure

I don't know if I want him siting on a tank or sat leaning on something

He looks a bit rough in the closups but he is much better on set as it were

They all look a bit rough in close ups, but once "set in scene" and given a bit of distance from the camera they will "blend" nicely. Very few of us can build 1/35 figures that can stand "close up" scrutiny, I certainly know I'm NOT in that groupops:....................Jim

I agree Jim , figures are an enigma for me , I just get the acrylic and wash version good and then someone comes along with oil paints so I have to learn all over again lol

I've got myself in a real pickle with my "Eye Deep In Hell" dio. 8 figures plus have to make at least a couple of "casualties" from scrap boxops: Guess I better start getting good at them, I really want to go all out with the detail and weathering with this one so it will be a drawn out affair for sure. But you can always keep up with progress in the under construction forum...........Jim

I've been keeping an eye on that Jim , have you thought of having them sunk in the mud to mask them , I've seen it done and it can hide a lot

                    nice work on the figure,

they will always be tricky little guys to get right, and a pic, seems to show any little floor with them,

no matter how good they look from a little off,

Best thing is I have unlimited "mud" can always dab more about where needed so should be no trouble to have them positioned realistically, just wanted to get tanks in early stage as they are integral part of the landscape

Well Alan I've just read through this whole post and, yet again, I'm blown away by the sheer amount of detail you manage to cram into a diorama. Your imagination shows through in the way you lay out the pieces but your weathering shows just what stunning results can be achieved with just a brush.

                            Beautiful job.
