Thank you so much for the nice comments - it helps keeping up morale and are welcomed when this thing just seems a never -ending project - as it does now.

          Superb stuff.
Hoping the illness is behind you now?
thanks so much for asking - I suffered from bacterial Pneumonia for about 6 weeks and although fever free, up and about and returning to work - my respiratory system is still feeling the effects to some degree and will be for weeks to come.

Steven have to agree with Neil the detail is perfect, I esp like those Arabic posters.

Glad to read your getting better slowly, that illness sounds nasty, take care.

Thanks for all the kind comments Gents
Space is limited on the bar´s flor so to keep that in mind I have made a rough guide as to what will on it :

The lamp destined to lie amongst the rubble behind the counterr is this one from Royal Model ( no affilation) another one will still be hanging from the ceiling on the opposite side of the room...

More coffee cups have been added to the shelves alongside som vine glasses - I do admit to be taking some creative license here as in reality everything that was still stranding on the shelves would most likely have been thrown form them during the destruction of the building.

I will place crockery on the shelves and some shattered on the floor.
                - decals are quite easy to apply an the result is quite convincing:

What`s a bar without wine- I plan to have these alongside a bottle of brandy scattered on the shelves or floor - or both. Although I hold an MA in middle Eastern history and societal conditions I still needed to check up on the Alcohol policies in Syria - which as it turn out are quite liberal given the secular nature of the Regime

All for now - time for a Pint and maybe some modelling :-)

                  A pledge....
                  Hello Chaps
small update as my bench time is quite limited these days, despite this fact i dare venture into putting forth a finishing deadline: December 2024 - there, I put forth a public pledge to finish this when we deck the Hollies..... - help me honor this :smiling: - It has just been going on for too long and the build is in its 4th year...

                  on to the build:
I have been adding bottle to the shelves a bottle of brandy is to follow

Lamp is lying amongst the rubble - wires will still need to be glued properly. and more rubble will be added to the scene once the building is fixed to the base.

                  - looking at the pictures I realize that I will have to move the lamp towards the fridge .

I´ve wallpapered the second floor Apartment using extra thin wallpaper from Reality in Scale - fiddley stuff that. When mounting I recommend using as little water/PVA glue as possible. The colors did bleed somewhat during the mounting but I can live with the result - most of the walls will be in shadow when the roof comes on and as I will have broken slabs of Concrete hanging down they will block most light coming into the room.

I have started adding rubble to the restaurant floor and added an overturned chair

Don't worry about the deadline Steven when dealing with so much detail. It needs time for the final touches for everything to blend in...shadows and lighting, placement of the figures. I can understand you pledging a deadline as things can get carried away when an idea just pops up for new additions.
Needless to say this is turning out very nicely.

                        Cheers,
                        Wabble

Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.
