well here is where I am on this build now, don't really know what colours to do the 1/350 bombers as far as i can find they were either dk grey on the top and light underneath or all black, I've done the little Stukas the colours on the 1/72 kit I've got.

had a little play with the base, cant really do much without the ship but thought I could give a general sort of sea look to it,ready for the ship and the clear bathroom sealant techneque Alan mentioned.

Looking good Ken. The bombers would be wearing a scheme similar to the Stukas I would think.

Hi all well I'm getting excited I've ordered the Warspite (swmbo says I can't have it till my birthday though(we'll see)) i've ordered the dx detail pack for it as well that way I get the wooden decking and the PE rails + the metal gun barrels for about the same price as the premium edition.

Be car with the railings on the this one Ken , there very flimsy

They are pre bent so you can go around a section like the boat deck with one piece only thing is they tend to flop around ant this can be easily broken, I found it easier to brake them off into sections and fit them piece by piece

Oh and it's best to get a gel superglue

Thanks for the advise Alan I will remember that although the PE is not the one which comes with the kit so maybe its not so fragile(hope so anyway)

Hi all here is what I've been upto. Ooh Betty I've had a bit of trouble, with the FW 190 first I lost the joystick (or whatever you call the bit he steers the plane with) to the CM so had to make a new one also I cut the wrong bits off the foot peddle thingys so had to make some new ones of those(I know it doesn't matter as they wont be seen but Hey you gotta do it dontcha)

While the missus is out I had a little play with what is going to be the most important part of this dio, I need help and advice on this, which is the best place for The Warspite.

I don't Know how to set up a poll so lets just say pic 1,2,3,4 or 5 or if someone thinks theres a better place for it, bare in mind I want planes behind her as well as in the foreground, although most of the action will be in the foreground.

Tbh I don't know definitely be using the rails and the metal barrels but I think the other stuff is so small and fiddley, what I will do if I decide to try it is not cut the plastic off till I've managed to make the PE part that way if I ruin the PE I've still got the plastic part to use. Won't make the mistake I made with the Titanic. I'm sure I could get some tips from someone who already made it I've ordered some gel superglue so maybe that will help.

Its amazing how many colours you need for something like this.

Did some work on the Stuka as well
