Restoration needed

One of the ideas put forward for next years build calender really got my juices going. As it didn't make it on to the final list I hope no one minds if I crack on and do this dio.

I am going to have an SAS jeep and an Hanomag looking a bit sorry for themselves in a barn. I do have a few ideas for barn finds but am going to do this one first as it is quite a while since I last did any armour.

I have already started painting the jeep parts as can be seen below and am also going to run the mag alongside. So plenty of painting and weathering to do. I am using revels rust colour to prime the kits.

Cheers guys n gal I have wanted to get back in to the armour side of things for a while and this is right up my street. I can feel a whole lot of scratch building coming on.

Today was spent doing both vehicles the main part of the jeep is done with a bit of decay added. The Hanomag is coming along nicely as well. The driver compartment panel is only dry fitted at the moment.

This after noon I have added a bit more rusting colour and tonight am going to add a pinch of salt. I have cut away part of the Hanomag floor prior to fixing as I have a couple of ideas for this area.

And here we have the inside of the Hanomag it still needs a fair bit of work but the painting is coming along nicely.
