Just got back off my hols so missed the start of this one. It sounds like a great diorama in the making so I'm going to tag along with this one

It'll make a great diorama.

I have the 1/35 Tamiya 88mm and have just looked in the box....I didn't realise there were so many pieces in the kit!
Ron there is just a few bitsbut a great little kit. I have a couple of bits that are not present but I am not worried as it is only the mounting screws for the gun to the bogies. I can get around that with a bit of glue. Also the cable for the two reels again no biggy as I can use wire. I may need to pick your brains for the water effect side but will see how I go first.

I have just ordered a sd.kfz.7 8t to go on the dio from china postage was a bit steep but it still came out cheaper than buying from over here.

I doubt you'll need any help, but I will offer all I can if required......I'm sure others will chip in their advise too.

Good luck with it.

The builds for this dio are coming along slowly due to one reason or another but here they are. The 88 is done and awaiting weathering before I add the armour plate. the bike is all but done with only number plates to paint it will then get weathered. The D7 is coming along slowly tonight I started the plastic tracks and still have a ways to go with them. there is a few fit issues with the D7 that will need fettling.

Well here we go with another update having no really been on much over the last week or so. When I have been on and looked about I haven't had time to comment that's life. Anyway back to the update.

Since my last post I have had to have a rethink on the board size as for what I want the board needed to be a little bit longer. With this in mind I cut another and set about doing the usual bits like outer edges. I then moved swiftly on to the frame work to hold the ground up from the water level. This was then set aside to dry over night before the next stage. As I already had some pop bandages I have used these to make the ground and fiver bed as can be seen below. I am now waiting rather impatiently for the ruddy stuff to dry (it has only been 24hrs). At this point I am in two minds as to wether I have my original idea of the D7 and 88 on their sides having gone over. Or to change it and have them coupled up with the D7 having thrown a track mid crossing and now being stuck.

The D7 is nearing completion and will soon stand along side the 88 awaiting weathering as will the two motor bikes I have done. Putting the windows in on the D7 is going to depend which way I go on the above if I have it on it's side I will have one window out and obviously both in if it is rightside up.

The base has now been painted and put aside until I can get a few stones to place in the river bed. I will then start adding the detailing like the kits and the pva for water topped with silicone
