Airborne's 'Sitting on the Dock of the Bay'

Earlier on I showed loads of stuff I was gifted at Christmas, part of that was the 'Dock with Stairs' from Italaeri that i said I would create a quick and dirty diorama: this is the outline of that idea,
The figures are just to suggest groupings, as are the vehicles and accessories - more work on the assault boat in progress. The overall length is about 300 mm by 250 mm and will sit in a base with 'water' and other elements such as as seagulls, cordage and crap. Wotcha fink ?

That looks like a good layout and plan Steve. Seagulls and crap will add to the overall feel of the scene.

Nice idea. Elements look good individually. I think it would look a little more “organic” if you angled the truck slightly off square to give the scene more life, a bit like you have done with the small boat?

I agree Tim - this isn't the finalised layout, merely to test the concept and see how many vehicles/personnel the roadway will support without overloading!

Using my limited spare moments to progress this diorama; still nothing set in concrete (or resin 'water') but have done some more to the dock, created the basic Sturmboot crew and am still working on the topside. Progress so far - also have a 'cat' that's being tickled by the seated figure in preparation !

Looking good Steve, If you're going to group figures, get them as close as possible as it makes a lot of difference. You are still tweaking the poses...I do that alot but a final decision has to be made so the surrounding elements can gel. I like the idea of the cat being tickled.

                            Cheers,
