I'm calling them done. Painting was with Vallejo paints and the odd revell/ tamiya acrylics, oil washed and final Matt coat. Critics on both sides of the fence welcome. Sorry for the angles
Those figures are "Spot On" Robert.

Thanks Dougie, it's a Fw 190 A8 missing a rear cockpit canopy ( I stood on it and lost all the pieces.

So I either get a full canopy replacement ( internals as well or I might crash and wreck it and dona burnt out shot down?

        ( Bodenplate??

        Regards

        Robert

Ps the other aircraft is a sky raider 1/3 built

Trip colour finish with a dusty wash. Used lots of Vallejo paints and washes

                  Update

Finally got the right info on starting the base to this. I have used air dry clay to put down a base start on the frame I'm using

It says wait 4/5 days to dry but that's another week!!! So I'm gonna cheat and leave in towel cupboard ( just hope the wife don't touch it!

                  Looks like the moon surface.

                  Once dried next phase is:-

I have elmers glue all and I'm going to mix some compost and earth with this to create my field then carefully plough it before adding some vegetation and painting

Be careful not to force the drying too much Robert, in case is does cracking.

Your in my mind you git!! I had thought of that after the fact so it's in my man cave on a shelf under greaseproof paper to let air dry naturally so I'll get on with something else.

Finally got round to getting the groundwork done on the dio for this. Ok it's compost mixed with ELmers glue all and distilled water ( mud pack yeah!!!

Set it on the base already prep the other week and ploughed the field look.

Once this is dry I'll start adding bits of veggie and place the hetzer and other pieces

I still need to finish off painting couple of figures and I also need to try building a Belgian fence to go in the dio enjoy the few pics

                                Thanks Polux,

I have tried to represent the Belgian earth ( it seams very peaty and so I thought compost the best type to use.

I did research on how to make real earth bases and on you tube found I that said use glue all mixed with distilled water. It was fun making it ( it will, take a couple of days to dry before I can attempt to add some vegetation and some partial colour.

My ref pics of German Armour going across fields during the Ardennes were covered in dark mud.
