Just gave the base a light spray of mud brown ( model air 71.037) to give the earth a more realistic look and not the black compost look

Should finish the fence over the weekend and add some foliage and greenery.

Looks good so far Robert, although rather green for a winter dio?

Still to weather, brown twigs in the hedgerow to break it up as winter loses majority of its greenery. The shading has to go on there too yet and then the wire for fencing ( long ways to go but getting there

            Thanks Patrick

So I either get a full canopy replacement ( internals as well or I might crash and wreck it and dona burnt out shot down?

                ( Bodenplate??

Ps the other aircraft is a sky raider 1/3 built
I have a spare 1/48 Fw 190 straight canopy. Dunno if this helps

Careful, not to let dry completely before setting in vehicles and making trackways etc..etc.. once dry it will be hard as a rock and you don't want them just sitting on top {very unrealistic}ops:...Jim

Also I would take a wide soft brush {dry} and dab it about your 'plowed field' to soften some of the edges, again while still soft

                      Hi Jim,

Thanks for your input and advice

The ploughed field is as you say hard now, but the edges of the frame are taped so the silver underside protected. Th track marks I have added using plastic track after softening the base as you suggested( afterthought )

The two vehicles I'm using and soldiers have been weathered and tracks and dirt used for the ploughed field is the same so when the two are mated they all fit like a jigsaw, all slotting into place and realistically positioned

Final weathering of the dio will be my next task before removing tape and tidying up. Fencing to do still.

Still have a couple of soldiers to paint for the Diorama and time constraints to work on this are always a pain.

                      Regards

                      Robert

Got me some good stuff to represent wire for fence posts

                        Hope you like my choice

only cost £2 from hobby craft and 20m good bargain .4mm so in scale I think
