Wow thanks alot for these great compliments.

I made a test piece and tried different stuff but here is what worked the best for me,
as a filler i used light spackle normally used with rc planes, i coated the bricks with a thin layer and waited about 10 minutes, then i took a thin sponge (1 cm) that was glued to a piece of wood to keep it as flat as possible, sprayed some water on it and started to wipe the cork stones clean.
After each 2 or 3 wipes i cleaned the sponge and repeated this until i was satisfied. After about 2 hours i went over the cork stones with a small flexible steel brush to get covered up details by the spackle back and let it dry for 2 days.
By cleaning the cork stones with the steel brush i got an irregular color of the stones with shades of brown and white which was perfect to get a base grey tone that vary in color (like a pre shading)
For the paint, I used a dark grey base tone mixed from white and black from reeve's acrylics and sprayed it with the AB, after that was dry i used a lighter mix to gave the stones the first grey tone, at the moment its a medium blue grey, but that will change if i build up the different grey tones to create depth.

I used my computer to draw the hings and then i let the machine cut them , after that i drilled the 0,5mm holes.
Glued them in place and put a piece of sprue in the drilled holes.
After that i cut of the sprues and heated up the ends to get a bold end.

Hi all,
so here's a small update on the Castle build. I did some work on the moat at least the bottom of it.
I made a transparent box of vivak material 0,75mm as a base too put some scale water on, so i didn't need too put a 2cm layer of resin in.

But i didn't like it that much so i cut it out and glued in a new bottom that is a little higher.

Next up was making a plate of resin about 4 mm thick.

Cut it to fit the moat

So i think it looks a little like frozen water, now for some details under the water, i used some candle wax melted on the bottom side of the resin to recreate some air pockets under the ice. After the wax was on I used an flat iron and some wax paper too get rid of the drops so it would look like a large splash. then i turned the plat and, (got this from a book)
