There was an SAS raid during ww2 on a town and castLe in Belgium. I have many pics of it... You could do that.... Just a suggestion

            Hi John, thanks.

I am intrigued by that, can you tell me what that operation was called?

            Cheers Richi

photos inbound. These are just the outside. I took a photo of the memorial plaque and was intrigued by it. This is coming as well. If you want a full exterior and interior walkaround of this site, ask for it.

                      Beautiful pictures John,

The plaque has been given from the 1 Regiment Para SAS to the city of Gent as a ''thank you'' for using the castle, at least I would read it like that (i am Dutch)

During WWII there were some Belgium and I believe France regiments of the British SAS.

Would like too see that walktrough very much.!!!

                      Cheers Richi

quite a bit here. more coming. BTW, you got the door pattern hinges right. It is the same on this castle. would be nice to see a moss effect on the stones, and even some ruined parts, as this castle had out of bound areas, and when looked on from the exterior, this part was literally ruins. Also, there were rotting and ruined (99% likely recreated) seige weapons on the outside. just don't put th cctv cam on. that was there for security!

the low walls is the first outer low fence. I have about 42 photos of this, so it's going to take ages to give this lot to you.

It started snowing on this day, remembering this trip....

yep. The SASRegiment from australia has 3-5x more casualties in training than in combat....
