1/72 USAF F-16 "Back on the GRID" (W.I.P.)

For the records, Project USAF F-16 "Back on the GRID".

Featuring total of 3 F-16 Vipers in a vignette.

"Coup de Grâce": Colorado Air National Guard F-16C Tiger Meet scheme, 120 FS of 140 FW, customized Traxex - DROW Ranger themed tailfin KT612-AF87.

"Brandy": It's a NSAWC gray camouflage scheme Viper. 1/144 scale, not much of customization I can do on this.

"Arctic Bandit": Aggressor themed F-16 with Arctic camo scheme, 18 AGRS, 354 OG, It's using Twobobs decals for AGRS markings and some other Fishbone Inc. custom decals.

    Paperclay, for the base.

    Bondite Epoxy putty.

I use Bondite for the "foundation" as it becomes very hard & heavy after curing so I think it is the best medium for this.

    So-called Dry-fitting.

Hi guys, I'm back, have been busy working lately. Here's some photos of my finished build!

Varnish application. Super gloss when cure.

Varnish cured, now it looks super glossy.

The LED thruster of Arctic Bandit.

        Another one.

Spend like few days for the diorama work, I glue the brass rod onto the base with Epoxy glue, it's very strong and effective adhesive. After everything cure, I took them out for some simple photoshooting under natural sunlight.

Hello everyone, already done everything, but a little mistake on this build: The brass rods are too long and can't really make the forced-perspective effect right. I should have make a shorter rod or bigger vignette for them.
