So I have already started on the base for my WLA Harley, picked up the base from Telford Model show for a £1, the groundwork is DAS Clay built up to form a ridge, tank tracks are from the Meng Achzarit – may not be right, but look like tank tracks. groundwork was painted with brown, and the washed with UMP Light dirt and the dark dirt. Vallejo static water was spread over the tracks to impart a wet look and also to fill a small puddle on the edge. Autum flock was then added, after the base was painted with white glue. Once this was completed, it received a cover of more UMP Dark Mud wash followed by more forest scatter and then it was left to dry. Gloss varnish was then ‘scattered’ on this to give a wet / dew look to the scene.
Just need to add the Mantis figure (currently been painted)
Will try and get some better photos at the weekend.
