Battle Of Britain ( Remembrance )

My good lady bought me a small frame with what look like poppies and I have a few figures I wanted to display.

I've made a start while my Whippet waits to cures

Given a primer of black negro as I want the dark to show through

I have sprayed it Revell Aqua Carmine red thinned down to about 50/50 light coats. 1st coat on

I have two figs that will be going onto a grass base and a Red Setter

It always fascinates me the ideas people come up with.

            As does this.

Update Second coat of Carmine Red

I'll be letting that dry before getting on with the centres of black. I have a scarlet red coming. I'll add a little black to it and thinned down this will be in the shades.

Well I think I may have got it too the point I'm happy with this base. I have given 2 coats of Matt cote and now it's in the box to cure. Once I get my extra RAF paints I'll start on the figures and the internal base.
