    Retreat

    Hi All

I thought i would post some pics of my latest project named "RETREAT", i have based this latest build on a scene that was all to familiar near the end of the war, it is based around the Mini Art European street with one or two alterations.

I have added a roof made from balsa wood and internal floors and walls(to be completed) i have also added wall paper and some other small additions, i have some way to go before finishing this model but i have decided against using a vehicle on this scene, as i want it to look like a scene that was familiar in the closing stages of the war.

I will be adding Kirin figures along with the new MasterBox France 1944 figures and some resin furniture, so far this is coming along nicely, but i am glad i have nearly finished the roof, i dont think i could stand cutting each individual roof tile any longer( 359 so far), i will post more pics along the way as the build progress`s.

I hope you like it so far!

    An interesting topic Tom.

It's an opinion; not if there is some brand that makes citizens in " normal life", or with bicycles, or seemed. I believe that you have given a lot of importance to the house and his decoration (only to look at the picture of wedding of the wall), to put there a Tiger does not fit. Normal life I believe that it would fit and serious different, or a peddler, with wood of raft it's possible to make his "shop".

Insurance that you put and put it was staying well!

    Regards

    Polux

        Hi Scott& Polux

Thanks for that lads, ive just put the floors in and i am now starting to paint one or two bits of furniture, then i intend to do a little more inside the house before starting the figures.

Im really enjoying these kits as they are different and they offer so much on ways for diorama builders, had a fair bit of choice language along the way mind!

                        Update

Just started a bit more on the Dio, i have added a few more bits and bobs to it, and i have started to add the odd bricks here and there, the next thing to do is to start on the figures(12 in all) and add a little bit more in way of weathering etc.

Thanks for the kind words Ron, matron gave me very strict orders, and i had to do as i was told as she was there all the time:wow:

So i have managed to take some more pics of the work so far, hope you like it.

Hi Papa its all in 1:35th scale, the building is a Miniart European building and all the figures and accessories are from Kirin, Miniart and Masterbox.

I scratchbuilt the roof and floors from Balsa wood and the roof tiles were made from plastic strips, the carpet is from a free printable site as is the wall paper, the cushions on the chair i made from Wilkos plaster in a tube, and some of the furniture is a mixture of resin pieces i bought from a model dealer in China and the other bits are Miniarts furniture pieces.

Just got to figure out the curtains and some other bits and pieces, then i can start on the figures, ive already built and painted the wagon carrying a wounded soldier(masterbox very good item) apart from that theres still a way to go before its finished.

                              Tom
