    Sherman tank riders

    HI all

Just started this new build, I always like to see a tank full of riders son when I saw Masterboxs new set 101st light company I ordered them immediately! They will be riding on Tamiyas M4a3 Sherman and I also intend on lots of stowage from the kit and also from Value Gear all placed on a scene showing the advance through France after D Day.

The only change to the tank build was to add some plastic stripe to cover the gaping holes above the running gear and just got the figures on board and they cram together nicely on the tank.

    Thanks for looking

Looking good Leighbo. The paratroopers and the Sherman look great together and with some careful painting will look stunning.

Master box figures are amongst some of my favourites now and this set caught my eye a few weeks back (although I have similar British tank riders). I'll be interested to see these complete (possibly on a suitable dio base?)

    Cheers

Those figures are really good, with excellent natural poses. MB is giving Dragon some healthy competition!

Although Dragon do a few German tank rider sets, I'd like to see MB do the same. Something like this perhaps..

Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of this one

        Cheers

          Thanks for the comments

This will be going on to a diorama base, I've just had a wood router and table delivered today so I can cut and shape my own bases. I've never used one before but nothing ventured...

Monica the stowage set is from Value Gear and is a Sherman specific set, but unfortunately no Germans in the Master box set I'm afraid!

Spent quite a while finalising how the stowage would look and then changed my mind on the base from an urban setting to a rural one. I used my new mitre saw and wood router to make the base up and then spent a while dressing it up

I'm enjoying taking my time on this one and will add more details when I weather the tank to tie things together
