    Started the base for a piece of the Gironde River, will be placing a canoe With Major "Blondie" hasler and Cpl Bill sparks as they paddle to the harbour at Bordeaux

    Base of plaster of Paris, sprayed Tamiya dark brown, mix of brown and desert yellow and cloud of desert yellow. Bank made from florists foam coated in watered down white glue

    Looking forward to seeing this.

    Also reminded me "Cockleshell Heroes" was a film that failed to get a mention in the War films thread.

      Watched it the other day, while at my sons football training,managed to find a copy on line. Anyway, great film, but wished they had spent more than 15 minutes of the film on the actual raid :-)

        Base has now had two thin coats of Vallejo still water added;

        Canoe added to check how its going to look.

        When finally fixed in place waves and ripples will be created with Vallejo water effects.
