First I tought that the backdrop will be out of scale, well it is because its 1/30 but the pictures clearly shows that the building had massive door and huge windows so it will fit the scene even if its out of scale! Pictures for discussion purposes only!

Danny .
The harness looks good

So 10 out of 10 on that .

The buildings, yes I had query on my Stalingrad building due to the hight. Looking at Public Buildings soon dispelled the idea that the hight was wrong . The German buildings like the Reich Chancellery were massive structures , made of course to impress .
This is going to be very realistic , looking fwd to the next up date .:thumb2:

Thanks John for the kind words! I happy that the harnes came out well and im very happy for the score i was given by a master only thing im worried is to move the whole model ! limber and horses , they are glued together and only small parts are connecting them to each other very fiddly! Hope it will not fall apart when i put it to the final place in the end ! We shall see when I get there! About the building im happy you agreed, i was a bit worried in the beginning but after research i was satisfied!

Greg thanks my friend! It will not be as big as the Dak . It’s only L60 W30 H30 slowly picking up the shape figures gonna take a while as I have like around 50 to do ! But stay tuned lot more to come!

Regards Danny

if i can give you a suggestion... on your soldiers... try to put some HORNET heads.. they look stunning and they give to your figures a depth and look that are really something..

Danny .
Things moving on, I like the stone sets, do you want to blend the whole surface in ? I took a mix of very fine soil from the garden, the sort you find when you wash out a bowl that's had soil in , the very fine stuff . Had some in a few boxes dried , just spread it out , then lightly spray with a mix of pva and water . Do it high so the droplets of thin glue don't disturb the surface . That's not a criticism, just an idea ! See you have some nice washes there, they would do !
I like those figures, £2 each ! Sounds good and they look ok as well, going to look them up .
The armour looks good.

Hi there John thanks for the comment and the idea! I was thinking to cover between all the stone but then I started to look at pictures about cobblestone roads and the grout between the stones are black so then i tough after a bomb blast probably the road gets dusty but probably wouldn’t fill up all of the craveses between the stones so I decided to put the yellow dust into only in spots ! It looks little bit funny from the distance but looks great from close I think! And also will be loads of figures and vehicles will be on it so will not be so visible! And i will put a loads of debris around the building and the street! I found this urban debris set from diodump so i go with that ! One question for you mister John! Can you please tell me on your Russian dio how did you manage to fix all the debris to the dio so it dosent move ? So many pieces of rubble etc ! Im not sure how to conquer the challenge! Hope doesn’t have to glue piece by piece! Thanks for your assistance regards Danny

Danny.
I can see your reasoning, and your right,. of course when the debree is scattered and the armour is in place you actually loose site of a lot of the stone. When I'd spent hrs imprinting the stone sets on two of my city dios I lost at least 90% of the stone to rubble and armour.
That packet of debree looks spot on, and yes every single piece will have to be glued separately. ! :smiling2::smiling2::smiling3:
No ........ Do the layer method, if you put the rubble down thickly and then spray or brush , even with a very thin glue/ water mix it will result in loose sections. Start with spraying/ brushing lighly a area where you want to cover , hold a piece of card against any building to keep the glue off . Once you have the first layer of glue down scatter the debree onto the glue. Let this dry, it doesn't take long as the glue being thinned will dry quicker than when neat . Take your time though and build up the layers, on larger sections you may find a dab of undiluted glue helps.

Have a look at Luke Towan on U tube, for a great tutorial on glue and "wet water "

Here he gives the ratio for mixing and using this method of enabling the glue to flow through the materials .
Hope this helps Danny .
