Great to see you all again and thank you all very much for the encouragement..sorry for such a lengthy time away from you all. I will be posting some further update pictures soon.. have to start building the Gaz AA., Limber has been built and KV painted with the base coat... more pics soon to come.

Just a few more pics.... I didn’t really like the plastic kit cargo bed on the Gaz ... so I decided to scratch build the bed out of balsa wood. Also first coat of paint on the KV, limber and tracks. The Gaz is going to take a little bit more time to add some aftermarket kit work, but I will post pictures as I make updates. Thanks again for all of the responses and following along.

I have scratched a few beds & always found representing the hardware on German beds tough as they like drop sides as well as tailgates. Thankfully not always. PaulE

The wooden bed is so much better. I try and incorporate a bit of wood in all my builds as it is a nice contrast against the metal. Keep up the great work mate.

Added some detailing to the engine since my plan is to have the hood open on one side.. last pic is for reference only... any suggestions on what color to paint the engine block? I’ll be adding some rust and oil, etc later ,,but thought it may be interesting to paint the block...suggestions welcome.

I do like the load bed in timber, in my case it burnt so much better:smiling4: What model Gaz is it please.

Joe, super work on the bed. For what its worth I'm partial to the gray engine. Might be a little more eye catching if the truck ends up green.
