Thanks again everyone.. well now that the armor and figs are added along with some wet affects I am considering this one done.. just have to add the electric cable to the telephone pole to the house...I was trying to achieve a melting snow affect, thus some wet roads and puddles, etc., wet gutter, downspout trail down to the road,.. I have really enjoyed finally putting this all together now.. many scratch built items in the house As well as outside in the garage...tool box on the fender, buildings, etc. I did add some real lighting to the inside of the cottage as well as some flickering lights to give the fireplace a glowing look. thank you all again for such a warm welcome back and support this past year while dealing with family matters. I pray that you and your family and friends all stay safe and healthy during this time. We WILL get through this !!Comment

Fantastic Joe. Another Strenko classic. Superb modelling and painting, and as usual with your dios, so much to see and enjoy.Comment

Thank you.. I was just reading up on your latest thread I always enjoy looking in to see the masters work on figure painting..I hope that you not only feel better but get better soon from this nasty virusComment

Joe, a real pleasure taking in all the details of your Diorama. I think you captured the warm hearth and the melting snow in a most superb fashion. The atmosphere is completely relaxed yet cautious. It is obvious that the folks that own this house are a little more well off than most in that part of the country. Wooden floors instead of packed earth. Well done Sir.

Thanks Rick...I originally was going to do packed earth but then thought that I could spin it that perhaps this is a former officers house who has gone off to the front leaving behind the parents to take care of the house while he is off fighting the Germans.Comment

Joe ,That is simply a beautiful bit of work mate with great figures and loads of interest through out. You should be justifiably proud of that.Comment

I'm lost for words Joe. This is one of the best dios I have seen in a long time. It's so atmospheric with a lot of action and detailing. I particularly like the fireside scene. One to be very proud of mateComment
