    Off to the Russian Front

After watching many of you fine fellow modelers since joining a few months ago, I think it’s about time that I embark on a project here at scale models UK. I’ve taken some time off and as a new member I have really enjoyed it here. I’ve been busy training a new pup since we lost our eight-year-old Aussie / border collie mix a few months ago to diabetes and have focused on giving lots of love to my other dog and new pup, (another Aussie).....oh yeah the wife too...

Soooo off to the Russian front it is for me...I think that I am going to be using the kits show below, some aftermarket kits for added detail are not shown but have already been purchased and ready for the build. Some additional figures are also not shown.
I’ve already started on the divisional gun and have added some extra little detail.

        Hi Joe
Looks to be an interesting project. Off to a nice start. A lot of work so it will take some time. Never heard of Tusk figures. What are they like?

Great stuff Joe! It looks like you're gonna be busy for a while and I see you've made a good start already. Like Jimbo, I have never heard of Tusk figures before either and am curious to their quality too. I'll be sitting next to Dzhon Race in the rabble section…….

              Prost

Thank you all (rabble section and non rabble section) for sitting in to watch.... there’s plenty of room and yes this ones going to take awhile..so sit back, relax and enjoy your favorite soda pop along the way.

Okay so now you all have made me curious about the Tusk model figures and how they would go together. I’ve never had built one before as well. I found them on the internet at.....(shameless plug coming) .....AliExpress. Ordering and receiving them here in the states takes some additional time, but I thought that the figures had some very interesting poses and what looked like some very good detail. I constructed one of them this evening and found that the fit of arms and head to torso was fairly easy with what Appears to be a minimal filling and sanding at the seams. Cleanup was simple and seams from casting were removed a bit easier than some other manufacturers figures that I have built. Overall, I am pleased with the figure so far.

Need some help though....I don’t know what one of the resin pieces is supposed to be ??? It’s the middle piece between the canteen and what appears to be some food container?? Can someone please assist in this puzzling question. And is that a food bowl??

So a little update, primed the 76 mm however, I found two parts on the sprue that are not referenced in the construction details of the build and I’ve looked all over the Internet at different pictures and still cannot figure out what these two pieces are. Pieces are number 62 and 64, one looks like a trailer hitch, and the other looks like a fuel cap. However I know that’s not correct. Can anyone assist? I’ve even sent an email to ICM however I’ve not received a response to date.
