Thanks for your kind comments guys, working on Calliope Sherman now.
It will be a long haul with my limited modeling time available and the fact that I want it to portray a well field worn piece
with plenty of stowage and grime.

I've also decided to add complete wiring harnesses for rocket system, studied some pics and will try my best to do a convincing
job of them.

John got me thinking about "bodies"
The Misses says "no dead bodies..please!" so I settled on wounded instead.
Nothing gross, tastefully done of course.

Thanks again for your kind attention.

Jim.

Jim,
I built one of these a while ago so if you want any pictures for reference give me a shout. I did have a wiring diagram for the tubes but I haven't got it any more but I do have a some pictures of the finished wiring plus the boxes and flame deflectors.

No worries mate I have been called worse:smiling:. Not sure if my terminology is correct but they prevent the wash from the rockets entering the engine decks. That is why most of the Caliopes also had a large box fitted to the rear to store the stowage away from the rocket wash.

Hope these pics are of some use.

Thanks Scottie, looks similar to what I was planning, will use thin sewing thread to imitate wire to scale, it's the looping between each tube
that will get me cross eyed.

Will try to make up a large stowage box and a make shift flame deflector from the parts box, should be fun.

Jim

Just seen this one Jim, very different from your usual work, but still the same great work going into it. Really liking the wall and all the plant life.

Field modification: rack on the rear a characteristic of these Calliope Sherman.

Just come across your build Jim. Lots of great advice coming your way. I must say the flowers on the wall are exquisite.

Coming along with Calliope Sherman somewhat, vinyl tracks that came with kit are nothing short of abominable
stiff as a board and glue resistant:angry::angry::angry:

One side seems to adhere somewhat for now but other side has given me such a tussle I'm gonna use individual links {which I hate} from a Dragon Sherman kit.
They seem to match other side so maybe it will be ok.:rolling:
Otherwise coming along I guess.

Wired up launcher, don't think it looks that bad.

Long long way to go, not much time for modeling, though there should be but too much reality going on for me to relax in my little plastic
world as much as I'd like to....
