Thinking about a "Scouts Out" scenario I threw some Preiser figs at the base.

Thanks guys. I went with it. Progress pics. Trying to represent some topography rather than sandbox. WIP base, top view.

                Hi Paul,

Up to your magic again I see. Looking good so far and I loved the snowdrift too. It looks better now with a coat on it. How big is the base this time? Not too big I think….

                Prost

Thank you gentlemen. No digital for me. I'm an analog kinda guy. Might try splatter method. Worked pretty well on that sub. Correct Allen. Just big enough to fit the LAVs.....7.5"X29". PaulE

Didn't think too much about it. Thought might be later as Marine LAVs were green or NATO camo initially, like their AMTRACs. Why Greg, you have an idea?
Some progress today on the base.

Well I was thinking of the battle of Diyala Bridge where the Marines fought 3 days to get control on a vital Bridge

                        very interesting story/article...
you can also see clearly here on this picture the use of the LAV.. and the also Recon element with the Humvee

Thanks Greg. You'll notice the hummer in the background is in NATO cammo, also in the enclosed photos you'll notice many Marines are in "green" cammo. as well as their vehicles. This was an excellent article with some good photos and a great idea for a future project, but this one is later on I think, hence the LAV-AD eval. PaulE
