Firstly congratulations on the birth of your baby, glad to read your wife and baby are doing well.
Building looking good nice, block work :thumb2:
I think the balcony metal work looks very in keeping
A common sight along with fully covered windows.
Nice casting idea .
John .
work on the faced of the big building continues - albeit at snail's pace
we welcomed our first child on the 14th so I am now working between feedings , nappy changes and the lot :smiling4::smiling4:
I might increase the height of the building to three stories
Second level under construction:
part of the front of the second story balcony
thanks for watching c&C welcomed
Firstly Steven, congratulations to you and wife on the one to one scale creation.
I like the flower brick...it's so Asian. I actually have some in my garden. This will surely make the building more recognizable as a setting in the Middle East. What a great idea...I'll have to make a master and knock out some for my own or get a set from Marchone models.
Building and dio are looking good. I'll be watching.
Thanks for all the kind words :smiling4:- he was underweight, so for the past weeks he has been on a hellish force feeding schedule but now his weight is up to snuff and he can finally decide for himself when to sleep and when to feed :hungry:
Now, onward and upwards I do not normally praise stuff I buy, on forums but I have to say that I like these fuseboxes, connectors and brackets for wire mounting from royalmodel I plan to add some on the building with the typical jury - rigged wiring of the middle east buildings also the will be AC installations that will need connecting.

Tiiiiiny brackets - time for the optivisor......
In the quarters that are most heavily contested houses are frequently barricaded with walled up windows and doors with fires slits in them , buttressed with makeshift sandbags. As the brickllying was done in haste and by unskilled hands ( maybe under fire) the workmanship was - shall we say shabby, so accordingly ( sandbags will be added later:

doing a bit of work one of the two balconies adding a bit of damage - more holes will be added to the walls after I have added some sort of overlay on the top wall section to make it a bit more interesting
trying to vary the detailing of the building facade by changing between the jobs - going from destroying masonry to connecting utilities..... - decided to redo the mains running from the ground by encasing it a tube - seen that done in Denmark - keeping the cable out of reach from passersbys on the street.

I have no idea what the English word for this is - junction box or the like - cables for the many AC's on the building will connect to this

Rather than use the brackets included in the set i decided to use a more "makeshift" looking hook for the mounting the cables

Me trying to get a non - gravity defying - look to cobber wire cables ......
