That is really shaping up Alan...don't remember if you mentioned any figures, will you be adding some? I think it always adds a little more action/life to an otherwise still scene. Main thing is to have fun and enjoy building it. :thumb2: Rick H.

Hi Alan, looking good. Are you going to paint the grass and bushes with shades and highlights?

          Cheers,
          Richard

Hi Rick. I have some figures with the PSU & Kettenkraftrad kit i found in a wardrobe so might put them in. My figure painting skills are non-existent though

Hi Richard. No intention as of yet. Just building this is challenging enough One of the reason i added the three shades of scatter was to create a sort of shading on the bushes. As this is my first ever dio, i don't want to try and run before i can crawl lol

Only way to improve them, is to keep at it, so go for it!

Only way is to run - if you stumble, pick yourself up again and push on - from what I can gather, there are folks on here who will offer advice to those who are taking their first steps, and ask for help.

Gerry. Whilst i agree the best way to improve is to practice. I am really not that good a painter of figures. I have tried and just cannot seem to transfer my aircraft painting/weathering skills across to figures. No idea why.

Try to put some robots in then :smiling6: ...

I don't paint much figures either, but when I do, good reference pictures is half the work. I'm sure you can achieve some nice results with practice Alan :thumb2:

I don't attempt to paint faces - a 'blob' of flesh is good enough for me, yes, I'd like to be able to paint eyes, lips etc., but can't seem to get the hang of things to get them 'right' (more fitting for nightmares than models), so don't bother - I'm going to use figures to 'explain' what's going on, rather than be the main 'focus'

That really has come leaps and bounds. Well done.

Cheers guys. I just now need to try and remember which weed it was that i found to make the tree so i can collect more of it lol
