Cheers Peter.
Think I've found a little model dog, we can name him after yours, he can stand next to the young boy.
Feel worn out after all that so going to have an early night.
Bye all, thanks for looking in and those nice comments.

Back at the village Ivor and his merry men have been flat out all day, and managed to get the boards down.
Meanwhile I assaulted the shed brush . Starting to make the reed bed. Glue to be applied to some of the heads to give the appearance of flower heads .
Other sellers and makes are available.
Highly technical removal of metal shroud .
This lastest brush does not have the timber base, but a resin, still it gives reasonable sections of hairs.
Lightly tied they are then dipped in a thick PVA
And set aside to dry .
Thanks for looking in, off to make tea.

Dave fair cop, I stand corrected. Of course due to a typographical error of course:smiling:, it should have been Ivan
:smiling:
:flushed::smiling3::smiling3:
Glad you like that first part on the reads. Really easy to do, tonight I did the next stage with the glue to some of the ends. This will have dried by the morning , then I can start to paint the heads a dark brown .
Photo for discussion only .
Can't manage the true length of the rush head but it will be reconiseable.

Great work John, but round these here parts we don't need no stinking bridge!

Hi John, just back in. I admire the tenacity you showed with that tractor.
Looks very challenging for comparison I just assembled an old Airfix tractor that comes with their Stirling bomber and that took me two hours straight OOB. When I was kid it probably would have taken five minutes.
Perhaps we have gone a bit serious with our building and application and with the introduction to overly engineered kits, it has become extra difficult. Sorry you had to go through one of these but it's turned out ok. The fact that it's going to rest in a ditch, the slightly crooked chassis and tracks might just look right.
Dio is looking the bisnizz bridge and all and glad you're starting to enjoy the process. :thumb2:
Am sorry to hear of your friends passing.
The last picture from Allen reminded me of the flood we had 13 years ago.
Cheers,
RichardComment
