    1/144 - 'Bridgehead' - Iraq 2003

    Hi all,

A recent find on eBay, I picked up a very small diorama set from MiniHobbyModels, which for £10 I thought was worth a go. I've never done 1/144 before, and I do like sets like this!

The set comes with a circular diorama base in a dome for display, and two T-72s, some infantry, and some accessories. It's actually surprisingly detailed given the size, and I'm going to try and do it justice, as I think it's quite a rare one now.

Pictures of the kit below, including one of the T-72s which I put together in about three minutes :smiling5: complete with Tamiya universal scale guide to show how small these things really are!

    Thanks,
    Greg

This stuff is even too small for me! I do like the level of detail that has gone into these models. Painted up and weathered, they should look really good. Have fun Greg. Rick H.

Looks good but I would need to go to Specsavers before I could build that.

Some work on the terrain has been done using standard acrylic paints, and the tanks have been primed. I'm going to attempt some water in the river next, and I'll have to think about 1/144 scale vegetation at some point!Click image for larger version

Bit more work done on this one. The river is in place, and the tanks have been painted. Next up is the figures; I've included a coin in the image to show the scale. These are going to be tricky! :smiling5:

Are you kidding??? They are tricky in 1/87 scale, I can't imagine doing something half again smaller......break out the Mega optics:flushed:

Fantastic detail and really well painted.
                  What a great little set.

                    Hi Greg
A bargain I'd say and certainly fun. A lot of stuff and the detail is impressive for the scale. Painting the figures will be fun :rolling:

Thankfully, about half of the figures turned out to be US troops, so I couldn't really use them :smiling5:

This one has been finished now, and is in the Completed section. Thanks all!
