The brief life of an Egyptian T-62A Tank.....Yom Kippur 1973

Here is the life story of an Egyptian bit of armour during the Egypt/ Israeli 1973 coming together. - Yom Kippur.

I've made two of my favourite early 'inaccurate toys' from Tamiya, a couple of 1/35 Russian T-62A's for this project.

One will be invading Israel and one won't be going back to Egypt!

Nice to have you chaps along.

Dave, it's the tank on the right that won't be going back across the Suez Canal!

Paul, 453 won't be around as he's probably on the Russian Front. In any case there will be no fire and flame - perhaps a little fury.

              Cheers.

It's yainin', so up in the den I am.... :thumb2:

For the 'Invasion' I've decided I needs me an Israeli Observation Post.
I set to this morning and designed one out of my noggin.
                It's made from foam board.

The shape transferred onto the board and cut to size.

I've worked in a bit of sloppy mortar into the block work, then added a first coat of brushed on Vallejo Air acrylics.

A closer shot of the finished job. I've tried to make the O.P. look as though it was build in a bit of a hurry shortly after the last major set to with the neighbours in June 1967!

What's your secret Ron? Cracking job on what is a relatively simple building - but how did you hide the joints on the corners?

Thanks for the encouraging posts chaps, but I'm afraid this diddy two part build will simply be a 'No Frills' tank going in and not coming out sort of thing.

So, unfortunately there won't be any refreshments served en route by the Trolley Dolly. Sorry. :sad-face:
