Cheers Neil :hugging-face:,
Actually, now that i look at it,( as it`s now finished apart from the final weathering),i am rather chuffed with myself with it being my first attempt at scratching a complete subject:smiling:.

"Fun" it most certainly was, although there are things that i would now do differently,nevermind.......
............ I`ll carry those thoughts through to the next build.

Evenin` All !
I have an update which will be the final one for this searchlight as it`s now finished :rolling: ,well,ALMOST finished,it`s notdetail painted or weathered yet,but you know what i mean.
So then,to finish off my humble efforts of recreating this item i needed to add the internal Gubbins,( I have absolutely NO idea what they did,but i need to at least TRY to get `em in there to make the thing slightly realistic...... I also realised that the actual front glass had a hole in the centre:flushed:!!
I started with these bits.......
Which i hacked about a bit,and luckily ended up with this......
The circular bit you can see there will be,(Once drilled out),the flange that surrounded the afore mentioned "Hole" in the centre of the light......
Here,i`m afraid,i cocked up!.... Didn`t take any pics until it was all primered,OD`d up,and assembled :flushed:,sorry, but it really did happen!!......
Well there you go my friends, that`s my personal take on a 60" British,(But American made) searchlight,it`s FAR from perfect, but with just pictures and a ruler,i`ve done my level best. It`ll be good enough to take part in my planned Dio with the Bofors,
Thanks for following so far.... don`t be a stranger as there`s LOADS to go on this thread yet Guys!!
Thanks for looking in..........Comment

OH,by the way,did i mention it lights up? ......
Well,it does:thumb2:,
HOWEVER,as the following pics are Temps,(I`ve not decided how best to secure the LED from the back,so it`s easily replaced,When breakdown occurs),There is obvious Leakage where the light projects from behind the Searchlight as you can see,but when i sort that,it`ll be fine:thumb2:
Anyway,here are some pics ......
OMIGOD!!! ......... I I never thought i`d even finish this .....
..... and i understand it aint the best, but i`m very happy with my efforts!!:smiling:
