Yep,i`m back to offend your peepers with yet more of my Scratchy attempts!!:dizzy:
This will be the last time that the Searchlight trailer will be seen prior to Primer spraying.("Thank God for that i can hear you say!!:tears-of-joy: ).
It will be Primered tomorrow, and then i`ll start scratching the Generator, but i thought i`d put this up briefly as i`ve done the Tow bar,(which was pretty rudimentary !),added the Wheel hub covers and the Base for the Light itself....... it`s been bloody good fun,if i say so myself!!:smiling:
So,here are a couple of pics...................
OK,So that`s three!!...... excuse my indulgence!! :nerd:
So then, this will get sprayed tomorrow, and then i`ll start the Generator,
Thank you all for such a fantastic following on this one,it`s both humbling, and rewarding!
Cheers for now Guys, thanks as always,
Keep Safe,

I'd say you're a natural, for all your lack of confidence. This is top stuff, Andy, looking forward to seeing the rest of it come together.Comment

I`m gaining in confidence the more i go along...... in fact i`ve just ordered a load of various Plasticard strips and sheets so i think i really must`ve caught the "Scratchery" bug!! :nerd:

Right then Guys,an update.........
My plans for the searchlight seemed well worked out,i started with this........
Obviously there will be parts that won`t be covered by the bits that you can see above, and as i go along i will have to add/look for there and then.
That lot are to cover the build of the internals, the Searchlight body is thus.......
OK then, this is where "Mr.Smartarse" realised he`d cocked up!:anguished: To explain,The Top left is a Locking nut from a multi tap plumbing elbow..... I thought that the Larger version would give me the perfect bracket for the Light`s drum once cut in half.however,i got the measurements COMPLETELY wrong........ from the grainy or posed pics i`ve been looking at,so my attempts are,(apart from the frontal, sealing ring, which will be tidied up)!!:rolling:
I`m still full on doing stuff mind.....So if you look at the top of that pic,you can see my lighting links for the 3mm LED,i`ve dry tested it,and it`s very bright,so that side of things are good:thumb2: !
As for the Light tub itself,i`m gonna stick with it,it`s not going well paintwise,i`ve tried putting the primer, and Green on,but it flakes off! Never had that problem before, but i`ll get round it........... I hope!!
BUT!!!..... and there`s always a "BUT":smiling:!.........................
On the "proper Plastic" front once more........ I needed a Lewis Gun for the MG position on my "Long Stick" Dio,and as i didn`t have one, (and i could do with some "extras" for my recently acquired ,various British/Commonwealth Figures..... which I must admit, are MOST excellent:nerd,
I`m now liking "Gekko" models,"Riich Models" especially,(I`m not an agent for them at all BTW!!),They may be more expensive ,but they`re worth it!!
Not the best of updates, but that`s where i`m t at the mo!!..... Loads of problems, but possible solutions......I got a head ache!!:surprised:
Thanks for looking in..... if you dare!!!

Hi Andy
i think your paint issue is because the item is made of polythene, like the old airfix soldiers. The perceived wisdom on painting those these days is to first prime with Gesso or PVA glue. Apparently plasticote spray paint works as well.Comment
