Dear all thank you for your constant support and messages.
You are my fuel to carry on this massive project.
So l want again to THANK YOU ALL with this little message from an original Christmas card.
l know it's not a card from CV-5, but it still carries the message from that fantastic "Fighting lady" and all her sailors that fought so hard during WW2.
So MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy New Year to all of you👍 4Comment

Hi Greg, this is looking fabulous in paint now.
I have a large chunk of US battleship to paint.... You may not be aware....
May I ask what colour you have used?Comment
-
Thanks Neil for your kind comment..
I wonder how many US battleship you have.?
For the colors l used basically two brands.
vallejo and meng.
-landing deck meng mc-291 deck blue 20b
-external walls vallejo 71.120 dark ghost grey
-lower hull meng mc-293 sea blue 5s
I used also vallejo black/grey/navy blue grey washes to do weathering.
since all these are waterbased colors be sure to seal your base with vallejo or mig matt/ultra matt varnish before you apply all the washes😎 1👍 1Comment

First off, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place- Is a new thread a topic? If not , could a mod please re-direct me? Anyway I’m very grateful to this forum for providing me with the impetus (via Group Builds) to build this project I’ve had on the stocks for at least ten years. The first phase is complete, thanks to @Geoffers’Comment
