1/35 Re-supply. Harbour in the Mediterranean 1942. 130cm x 45cm

Hi guys started this project on the 4th of November so it’s been going on for almost 2 months and probably will be completed by the end of January.

This is my 9th diorama im building since i have started modelling back in 2017 January which was 4 years ago.

Always trying to build different terrain and this time its water.

I choose the schnellboot because it looks amazing and also only one left in the world.

I don’t know if you guys know but an English entrepreneur guy bought it on an auction for £1 which is itself an amazing story.

however it will cost over £5 million to make it sea wordy again.

reconstruction been going on for many years but it will take many more i guess before we see the last surviving schnellboot of the history the S-130

So its a water diorama and i never done it before so i was a bit scared but I conquered it and came out good.

so here are some pictures of the progress and from the last surviving boat.

The base as usual plywood and skirting boards. Loads of sawing used styrofoam which I built up so i will be able to lower the hull of the boat to make it waterline and wooden boards to bring the dock in level with the water

Cut out the place for the hull of the boat and then Used sculptamold to cover the styrofoam and seal any gaps then painted it blue and also painted the frame to black

Next was to continue the construction of the dock and put down the first layer of resin for the water. I tinted the resin with dye from transparent to blue also added some lamp posts from MIG and some barbed wires around the edge of the dock and on the machine gun position and 2 pontoon as well and tied the boat to the dock. The dock and the boat were fully completed.

Next construction was a dock crane . Unfortunately no company makes one so i need it to design one and 3D printed for the project . Came out brilliant so might throw it on the market

Next move was to put more resin to achieve the required heights for the water . Need it 3kg of resin to achieve the desired look

After I created the riples on the water by using gloss mod podge and spread it thin on the resin then blow it and push it with the airbrush airflow

Unfortunately the boat didn’t come with mines but luckily AFV club do them separately there is 4 in each box so i bought 2 set to the back of the boat and a few more to the truck and on the pier also

I still have the other box of naval mines to complete and put in the back of the truck and few more tarps to paint . Once they completed then all the accessories and models are done and everything can go in there final resting place. Hopefully this will happen tomorrow or latest by day after.
