Thanks John will definitely do
A bit more progress with Vallejo asphalt on the road sanded with 400 grit sanding paper
Pavement need more work but as the t72 takes up the majority of the space I am not going to do much more on the roadComment

More work on the shop: Started adding electrical installations - in true Midde Eastern fashion the shop has been piggy backing on the pubic grid and the the wire running from the swich box will connect tp the terminals mounted on the wall. absolutely nothing is finished on the pics and a lot is just bluetacked to show the general idea.
I have added some pro regime- graffiti to the walls and blue tacked the shop sign to show it has been partly detached due to the explosion
still to be added: remnants of a rolling gate, destroyed and collapsed awning, bits and bobs......

Hello Gents
I wanted to share som pregress on the building.
I have blue-tacked all the principal details on the facade on nothing is permanently fixed.
The rool - up cage is re-use from another failed Syrian build, the collapsed awning is a baby wipe soaked in pva/water and finished in oils.
Having the sign hanging from one bracket (cf above) will be prove difficult but I am playing with the thought of having the shop sign go through the awning or maybe some larger rubble have caused the hole - smaller debris will be added to the awning folds and around the hole/tear.

Hello Gents
Some schratchbuilding you just can't avoid. The story of the dio is as mentioned above two blokes taking a break (and a selfie) from unpacking and preparing ammo before loading into the autoloader As I have an ammo set from Miniarm and want to show some shells in thier casses as well as shells and charges lying on a trap on the engine deck. I found myself needing an open russian 125mm crate and finding none (apart from the rather obscure but very well casted one from the Russian (!) Company "Tank" which at any rate is out of stock).
So this is my attempt to schratch one myself - not quite finished on the pics

Thanks for the likes chaps very much a motivating element for me and keeps me at it
A bit of progress on the "Syrian shop" : Awning is fixed and weathered as is the shop sign using Shader and a bit of sponge chipping and a ligt misting with buff at the back rebar has been painted and further details added I have started on the interior it is not just going to be a pile of rubble. As the footprint of the building is not great the challenge is to show some details beside rubble. Pics show various versions of how I want the finished result to look - also, I really like my scratched damaged ceiling ventilator
Viewed through really clear reality goggles the fridge and gas canister would prob have been looted but a bit of creative liberty is allowed... Interior shots are WIP

I have kept rust to a minimum but it does rain quite a bit in Aleppo - especially during Winther so on untreated metal rust will start to show

Rebar is coming along - end result will be a tangled mess

Interior:
I am debating with myself how much rubble - focus should be IMHO be on not just the rubble but try to steer the eye of the beholder towards detail - on the pics below I am making changes to try to accomplish this
some of the principal items
