Ow….hope that doesn’t get infected…….splinters are what fine modelling tweezers were made for though…..I think I use mine more for getting gardening splinters out of SWMBO that I do for modelling.

Thanks guys...it has moved and appears to have been drawn out a little. Will apply more paste and wait for progress. Still too deep for tweezers.

          Cheers,

Quite amazed by that. All you are doing is making carbon dioxide and sodium acetate……it will probably work itself out anyway….just keep it sanitised.

If it gets bad I'll only count up to 9.:smiling6:

I was once prescribed magnesium sulphate paste to draw out a splinter that had become infected. Seemed to work.

I had to look that up, and now know how it works :thumb2: Once again, the rabbit hole magnet that is this forum improves my knowledge.

I have used banana skin for the same purpose Richard - just tape on a small section (inside to the wound) - it's been most successful in drawing splinters, thorns and similar beasties out!

Apart from smelling nice like bananas, thanks.

Guess what I found at a stationery shop...not the bag full of CNY biscuits but scaled bamboo plants for architectural dioramas. All that tedious scratching and this turns up. :smiling6:

They look good, but admit it you would rather make them yourself

You're actually quite right Scottie. I will still add these so there is variation.

Not only that Richard, but those ready made bamboo don't look anywhere close to the quality of your own renditions! :thumb2:
