    Cheers John I was thinking of a pale colour but wasn't sure what sort of traditional colours would have been used on the woodwork.

    Paul looking at early photos think any soft blue or green for the shutter's , while black for the barge boards and guttering and white for the trim on the windows and dormer .

                  Thanks Jim, I'm never sure how much wear to show as the house would have been well maintained? or how much it would have been effected by the battle going on around it.
