Take it that the brambles are going to be round the trunk of the tree?

Love both the brambles, they look good having that curve downwards .The tree is superb, your right it is stressful at times when working with things like CA you don't have long to get the placement spot on . Going to be great Alan .

As the others have said that's coming on very nicely indeed.

                  Very well done indeed.

First tree done. Now to have a think about the painting. I am surprised by just how much seafoam it takes to make a tree. also i am not that impressed with the useable amounts i got from WWS. There are a lot of bits that i feel are not useable for just about anything. They seem to be really straggly bits. I would almost go as far as to say, 'the dross' left over.
Anyway. I'll see what i have left for the next tree. I might just have to make my smaller trees with what i have and order some more for the other tree.

                        Hi Alan
That's looking very good. Shame about the useless stuff - maybe another lot will be better.

Went for a little walk today. -5C so everything was lovely and crisp. Needed to 'stock up' on some diorama bits and kept my eyes open for some things. Some nice mosses, lichens, heather and birch twigs around. They'll do very nicely and are now drying ready to be preserved and used.

Yes as you can see they are going to 'cover' the base of the tree. I've still got more to make and add but i want it to look unkept and wild.

Positioned the other small 'trees' (held with tweezers at the moment). It's starting to darken down the roadway, which is exactly what i am trying to achieve. Even without the foliage added there are some nice shadows coming through the canopy, making it all the more atmospheric. I'm really quite proud of it coming together now. Not bad for my second ever dio lol.
