Brilliant posts boys. Thank you. :thumb2:

Thanks to Andrew agreeing that back alley walls would be a good idea (Thanks a bundle, mate ) I'm forced to comply.

Here are the sections ready for some paint. The slightly lower section is for the dividing walls behind the coal holes.

I've scribed them with the weapon shown. Cracking bit of kit. Cheap as chips with 'Snap off' blades. Each of which lasts for far, far longer than a scalpel blade, which is now confined to a drawer.

Cut up for yard openings and painted with cheap acrylics. I think I need to replenish some colours!

I've done enough scribing brickwork to last me a fair old time, so on the inside of the alley walls I've treated the residents to a rendered finish.

To match the individual doors, fascia etc., I coloured the surface with a single coat of acrylics. See how I've just let the paint do it's thing and settled in all the dints and donks. Rough and ready....

Here at Andrew's Abode, the Residential Committee can only apologise for the extra work caused to such an illustrious builder through our suggestion of rear walls!!!

In all seriousness Ron, that is coming on beautifully, the back walls really are the business. Particularly love the 'render'

Have to agree too that I think you need some new paints!!!:smiling5:

Also agree with you on the knife front. Those little knives are great. It's what I started using when I first got back to the hobby......my wife has just about forgiven me for nicking it!!!

        Keep it up Ron.

        Great work.

        Andrew

Great stuff Ron. The donks just add to the realism.

            Dear A Nuisance.
Thank you for your suggestion re. an Anderson shelter. I refer you to page 6 of this epic journey into nowhere - and beyond.

However my real reason for this letter is to complain in the strongest possible way about your claim to be President of the Anderson Shelter Committee.
I had done some checking and there is no such thing. You sir, are a fraud, imposter and all round bounder to boot!
What is more, you have dared to use my family name in such a way.

My uncle Bert Anderson wrote, amongst others, the following t.v. series. Torchy the Battery Boy, Four Feather Falls and Super Car.

I understand you had a bit part in Supercar. You played the sump plug!

My other uncle, Gerry, followed with Fireball XL5, Stingray and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. His main claim to fame being Thunderbirds.

As you can read, (one would hope) Anderson is a name to be proud of and has nothing to do with those tin monstrosities you refer to.

Please refrain from using our surname ever again or else my Aunty, Matron Anderson will visit you and stick a scale model of Troy Tempest up a certain part of your anatomy with his arms wide open!

            Yours.

Sir further to you letter of 9 th of January our client A Nuisance has instructed us to start High Court Proceedings against your selves , further more and of greater concern to everyone his uncle one Ronald Kray is as we speak on his way to have a " little chat" (His words ) with members of your family .

              Thanks for the input chaps.

              Dear Ditch Prick and Hide.
Neither you nor Mr. Kray worry me.
Tell A. Nuisance he can go and **** himself. I've sent for Sister Muldoon (You remember her?) and her half sister Noodlum. See how Ronald copes when they open the door to him!

              Meanwhile on with the build...
I've glued the back alley walls in place.

              That's it, me thinks.

There will be other things added, but I will add those when I start wrecking 29/31- and a bit of 27/33.

              Cheers.

Gosmackingly brilliant Ron , loving this . If i might make a suggestion , how about a set of cricket stumps chalked on the rendered wall ? I believe in those days youngsters actually went outside to socialise and for recreation ?!!
