Yes it has been. That's why with my stammer I always introduce myself with my second name first as in... Timothy...Richard Timothy and then my surname... Foenander. I was called Wacky Wabbit only by one friend. As I try to roll my tongue, many think I'm called Red Shirt. Sisters call me Cherd, Chinese friends pronounce it as Lichert or Lok Chat meaning 6 7 in Cantonese which can also mean the stick between the family jewels.:tears-of-joy:

first photo shows instructions.


No matter how I tried they would not both fit in those holes. Was pleased to see on Armorama the following from an expert

"As with most things in life there has to be a dark cloud for every silver lining and in this offering from MiniArt it is the word ‘workable’. The track links have been designed to be workable via a pin moulded on the inside edge of outer lug of the links with the guide horn, the problem is that these pins are so fine that they break when trying to engage the holes present in the other link. Now in the belief that most modellers do not play with their completed models, I do not see this observation as a problem. What we have here is a very accurate set of track links that can easily replicate track sag as needed, but that will need to be glued together just like a popular track that use to be available from a competitor.

Removal and clean-up of the tracks is easy enough if you have a good set of side cutters that provides a clean cut. I have covered the issue of the snapping and so what I did was cut the pin off of one side and then attach the link at the other side and slide home with a touch of glue. "

Good to know its just not me then !!!


Needed so really good cleaning resulting in


When nearly dry I put then in a track jig




Nice to use it for the first time .


The only complaint I have apart from the pins on the links being nigh impossible was the instructions, very little other than saying there were 36 of each links per side No mention of how many for the drive and idler.


Ready to start.



Nearly ! added two more and left with a damned gap


Section of half a link perhaps ?

Oh well better luck on the other side hopefully.:disappointed:

Indy tracks will test the patience of a saint so don’t be too hard on yourself.
I never trust the instructions on amount of links to use and i always leave that rear idler loose until the tracks go on.

Always good to see you taking on the challenging builds, even with the odd hiccup you still manage to produce fantastic scenes :thumb2:

The Achilles heel for all tank builders. For whatever reason one side is usually shorter than the other so hopefully you will have better luck. We are all with you on this one my friend

As I have never built a tank with track links I can only offer my sympathy and admiration

Relax old boy...smoke some hemp and make like daisy chains around a camp fire and soon you'll be done for both sides. The extra half link will give a more exaggerated sag.

Thanks Andy ,bit beyond me at times but managing with the help from Dude 1 .Tracks are not my thing, well not plastic ones . Fruil would have been nice , but as the side being seen the track is nearly off !

Si , thank you, I glued all the wheels on,even then the other side half of them broke off ! Now drilled and wire glued in . The best is yet to come ---------------
