    Hi John,
Apologies for coming through the back door...apparently governments have been formed that way. Anyway thought this was the previous dio in a box...then hello...saw the SU-122 at the end of the title and thought I'd investigate.
Good you've got your burner lighted up and raring to go... I have asbestos clothing on and seated behind Steve and Jim...they seem to have some fire retardant plexiglass held up in front of them, waiting I presume for the explosive results of your build as everyone is anticipating including myself.
The contents of the barn are looking good coming together. I presume there will be lots of combustible hay around...your kind of environmental accelerant leaving no traces behind.
Busy skewing my marshmallows on the stick while you build...good to be amongst fellow well tanned bunch. Already feeling the heat...good stuff.

    Cheers,
    Richard

Greeting Richard, alas no fire this time. You might have to find a way of toasting your marshmallows using a welder !

I've used them before and can recommend the company for great service and price.
        Hi john

thanks for the link. i have contacted them and Jennifer is really helpful, as is their guide to LEDs. I am going to bite the bullet and add some leds to my Noggin the Nog dio - a flickering fire.

Graeme they were ! Jim said earlier on about having more intructions
"Typical Miniart high parts count. Looks as if each stage of the instructions could be split into more manageable sections."
Certainly right , at times the lines didn't quite indicate exactly where the part should go, but unfortunately that's par for the course, at least they weren't by Dragon !

Moulding being removed and the start of the wiring. I drilled all the holes out rather than attempting to glue with the CA . Oncde the wires were in place It was easier to apply the CAClick image for larger version

The suspension tubes, easier to keep in groups , as so easy to mix up.

Not the kits fault, but cleaning those small very thin leavers was a night mare.

The only way to remove a sprue point was with the chisel

The front upper section is not glued, bit of a gap on the right hand side, which is covered by the outer track guard.

                            Rads to refit later.

Front view, top and front not fixed, just taped up to get those side section on.

Next job it to glue the front and side sections to the gun and fit the barrel , so more later.

                            John.
