Today I put all the figures after hrs of work into a container of VMS ab cleaner . Success, took about an hour to soak, and then brushed the paint off . So good in fact one head came off and another body came apart !
All washed in soapy water and then clean, now drying by the heater over night . I'd taken my time, built up layer by layer but not happy . No good continuing when it's like that . In the meantime I've filled the base sides with wall filler , will sand down later and put some edging ply on .

Not had a chance to use the Proxxon yet , wanted to get the figures done first .

So JR, are you feeling a little like good ole Mr. T? I recall him dunking that Julie babe and the cwazy wabbit more than once coz he was unhappy with his brush work! Once you get all the pieces/parts stuck back together, start back fresh using the "Marlow Method", of course.....may the force be with you :thumb2:

After the fiasco with the Neo , taking it apart , cleaning , checking just about everything on it , I've gone back to the .34 needle assembly.
Think it's a lot to do with thinning , also found that if the connection to the ab is really tight the air flows all the time. Releasing the connection slightly stops this
Anyway having done another coat things look better .

Don’t worry too much about that John. Once the top coat is on it will smooth out quite nicely, just adding a bit of modulation interest.

There must have been a flock of seagulls passing overhead :smiling6: ...just kidding. I've seen some figure modelers apply the spackle look to add texture. They look good Wobble.

                      Cheers,

First the figures, decided to do the faces first as is the way , several thin coats of pale flesh from Life Colour , then tried the eyes. Normally at this point I resort to a Vallejo Wash , but carried on . Some have had the eye done with a small dot , a few had a err blob ! Those have been repainted .

Pupils to be done . Paint for the uniforms was very " wet " hence some pooling in the folds. Maybe I should have brushed these out before it dried ?

The Wespe it self has had a coat of colour, the basic before the other two colours for the camo .
