Not much progress but plodding along steadily.

Base has had some texture added and I've started painting up a few miscellaneous items to add in. The "masking blankets" need more work. I'm trying to add a bit of a textured look with the paint but it's my first time so anything could happen :smiling5:

Liking that, a lot!! Excellent work - the half sprayed door - perfect.

      Thanks Doug.

Obviously deliberately painted in a less faded version of the colour, and whilst the camera hasn't really picked it up it's gloss as well to imitate still being wet :smiling3:

Looks very good Andy. Great idea to have the door being sprayed. Little touches like the wet, unfaded paint really raise this to the next level.

That half painted door is a brilliant idea. Perhaps a close up showing the gloss if you can please Andy .

Looking great Andy, you would never guess you were a car painter by trade.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Jim, I see so many amazing diorama here it inspires me to try a bit harder each time.

John, I'll try and catch one in the morning.

                Thanks Paul

Andy - is it the sloppy masking and poor colour match that gives it away? :smiling5:

The best I could get John. Not super glossy yet but enough to sell the effect I hope.

Thanks Michael, John, Richard, Andrea & Paul again.

I've put some more gloss varnish on the "wet" area and have started painting the base. Pics later hopefully.

                                Final stages.

Everything is bolted down now that I've painted the ground. I started with airbrushing a dark brown all over for the deep shadows and worked my way up from there trying to add a bit of variation. Then finished with a brush for some detail painting of the stones.

I've splashed some pigments around on the ground, boots, and some of the equipment to tie it all together but the pictures show I need a bit more work on that.

A bit of titivating and I think we're done

By the way, compressor is running off a perpetual motion motor before anyone asks :smiling5:

I almost printed a generator to add in but with limited space I may end up just running a cable off stage.
