If you do try, remember it's one carrier film, new blade to trim out, i used s brushful of warm water brought to the 'eye'. I'd previously glossed the eye sockets then carefully positioned each eye..... phew, 30mins first figure, did 3 this a.m. before work in 40mins!!!!!!

Eye decals have come out OK Nick, but I think the second figure has them added upside down……the dark line should be at the top, mimicking eyelashes….it’s honestly easier to paint ‘em though.
Looking good though, interesting subject matter as well.Comment

Just caught up to this Nick.....great job on the Dio. so far and the "eyes" have it!! I have several sheets of Peddinghaus decals, no eyes mind, but they are all 1-87 scale....some of the unit markings are just about the same size as your eyeball sheets. The single carrier film does present its challenges. Glad to hear that all your figs can see where they're going.:thumb2:

Some more progress, finished painting crew figures, set the suspension roadwheels and superglued the swing arms. I drilled a hole in hull tub, for fixing down, added the painted vynil tracks which i found to be tight/short each side so i 'broke' them on the connection tabs, sewed them 8mm longer than they gave, joins hidden behind mudguards....... and yes the R/H is backwards so I'll unscrew tank from base and amend tonight. Personal weapons are in paintshop, along with M2HB .50cal.... I've got guitar strings for the two antennas and I'm collecting some stowage at club tonight ..... generous types lol
So far....
I have an idea, wether i execute it or not...... dark spots on the Marines Parkas, gloss spots on tank, to depict a rain shower starting.....
We'll see, I'll experiment a bit
