An acquired taste, you can't help having the missing taste buds Chris, just admit it. We shall over come Dr Mindbender easily as Matron has discovered a new treatment against the rays.Comment

Seriously - what's the worst thing that is eaten as a 'regular' food? Ray Mears, well kown for eating grubs & worms etc will not believe that people eat Brussel Sprouts voluntarily! My own personal horror was being given some Tripe and Onions as a kid ( maternal grandparents ), not even knowing what it was, my stomach rejected it. Finding out later what it actually was brought on the dry heaves. Even now, nearly 60 years later it makes me uneasy typing about it!!!

I love Brussels sprouts…..with bacon and chestnuts there isn’t much in the vegetable line that can beat them….Comment

Our local served Brussels Sprouts cooked with Ma----e at Christmas - to me that is equivalent to having my eyes pegged open under a blazing sun in the Atacama Desert  (Mind you the Guv'nor is mad as a bunch of frogs and an ex-Grenadier Guard to boot!)
