No not in some cases, either top mounted outside fixed hinges or as normal internal .

A couple of days has passed and I'm well into the build. Reading Scalemates build review and Jakko' s remark about leaving the top section off until the tracks are done and fitted I've concentrated on the lower half.

Most of what I've done will never be seen, thank goodness , but good experience if I ever have to do one with full interior.
Vinyl floor monster, closely related to the carpet monster and as evil made several attempts and succeeded in making off with some very small pieces. Actually made one from some plastic card to save crawling around looking for the lost one.

Some parts a little to small for me.
These marked with a yellow ring are now in the bin. Hard to clean when you've removed them from the sprue with marks each side. Far too small for me to both hold and see .

Another part No B30 was a hinge on the drivers hatches, couldn't even see which way up it went, holes now filled !

So thin I was concerned that cleaning any more of the light shields they would break. As did some of the drivers steering controls.

You can see here where they snapped. Again not to bothered as none of this will be seen .

The ammo racks, think I must of removed a nib on the ens as they were all a little short, nothing that a blob of CA couldn't cure:smiling2:

One thing that I did find annoying was the rear , an instruction showing a rear part, yet no other drawing of it fitted . Had to look up the actual model on Academy website to see what the back looked like.

            Will carry on tomorrow .

            Thanks for looking in.

            John.

              John,
Looking good mate. I agree some parts are so small they a nightmare to clean up. Sometimes it's easier to fit them and then clean up when dry.

Cheers Paul, good point. Those hatch bits were so small even with the optivisor I couldn't make out which way they went.

Small parts can be a pain to clean up John, your making good progress despite the instructions.

Dave just think of the internals as a practice, think Academy did the whole thing to make it worth while doing the moulds. Looking fwd to using the new paint :thumb2:

Looking most excellent so far Comrade, one thing I've found with Academy instructions is that they don't always show things in a clear enough way, but they aren't that hard to work out... and it all turns out good in the end.. :thumb2:
