Looking good John. I agree about the tiny parts - they're only on the sprue to frustrate you. I have also had instructions where a part is shown fitted and a couple of steps further on it's vanished. Sometimes is reappears towards the end :rolling:
Keep at it my friend :thumb2:
Certainly not just you John. Sometimes they're more like hints than instructions.
Pete
Think that is the perfect description of instruction sheets I've heard Pete .:thumb2::smiling2:

Jim very true. Now on the actual gun area, seems to be as complex as possible Will just keep going :thumb2::nerd:
Good evening all.
Spent the morning actually doing some 1/1 wood work, felt like old times.
The late afternoon was spent back at the bench moving on with the upper section, the turret, without a top:smiling3: Does seem strange.
Crew seats in.
Still loads to do , and far to much glue again :disappointed: Need to use a thin brush instead of the TET one.
Thanks for looking in .Comments and abuse welcome from all .
Keep it comin' JR....you'll have ample opportunity to stuff all kinds of CITT (crapintheturret) before this one's done......a little extra glue won't even be noticed!!
Good stuff John dont worry about the glue if its tet it vapes off anyway look a that BTR im building some of that I used the Ak blue liquid cement(good stuff it sticks plastic)but you can see how much it gets lashed about but it doesn't show under a coat of primer and paint. Its comming closer to the olive drab see matron if you fell you need counciling. Dave

Will do Rick, oh there's loads of stuff I can sling on, maybe a sink as well if I have one in the spares box

It's one of those things Dave, me and over use of glue. As for Matron I have a season ticket !
Hopefully the new primer will save the day .

Coming along a treat John. Hope you're keeping your fluid levels up with lots of tea!!! (I know I am) :smiling5:
Yes mate, tea on the hr, then get into trouble as it's gone cold .
More achieved at the towers this afternoon. The morning was spend washing and sanding above the gates, of course not a matter of just slapping paint on. Preparation is required which took most of the morning.
Spot primer done along with some knotting. Tomorrow the first of two undercoats.
Meanwhile sitting outside in the shade did these Russian crew members.Used the kit heads and bodies along with some arms from the spares box. The fun will be in putting them inside. Looks like they will have to be painted and then placed in from under the top surround. Only need 3 as the other two would have inside.
The 2 machine guns were a nightmare. Very poor instructions, in fact the ammo box on the 50 cal was shown with the wrong Nos and had no build instructions.
(Thinking back if the building trade ever tried to build houses with these sort haphazard instructions there'd have been hell to pay. Moan over :smiling2: )
Thanks for looking in, off for something to eat.
John.
Nice work good to see your still on a roll ,as for the construction industry ive been through a couple of booms they were thrown up down our way nobody gave a hoot ,terrible I know but the saying was looks alright from our house ,can you remember Harry Enfields plasterer character loads of money we were just like him ,still along with the booms came the busts ah them was the days. Dave
Steady as she goes there Mr. Race....I had a contractor try to tell me that "once the sheetrock is on it will all be covered up", so no worry! :tongue-out3: Liking your progress and of course the plastic surgery is always interesting.
Your figures are looking good. Your getting good at transplant surgery.
Thanks .
Really enjoy finding bits to fit Jim. Have yet to start sawing off the odd limb but sure that will come.
