Don't knock yourself down so hard Joe, your figures are good. Painting these many for a diorama isn't easy unless you have pre planned positions in the composition for where the main light source comes from in your head. This helps hold the composition together in the final stages.
On close up I noticed you're using the drybrush technique...I had problems with paint build up in the past when I laid it down too thick and wanted quick results. I learnt that thinning paint to near translucent and layering patiently with a sharp pointed soft brush produced smooth results. I usually spend a day or more on each figure sometimes treating each colour or effect like sub assemblies. With practise it has worked for me.
The photos haven't done justice to the figures as most are back lighted and in hight contrast. I bet they look even better with the naked eye. Can't wait to see them in the finished Dio with the excellent vehicles.
Cheers,

the cast of characters are finally painted… Now I just need to add the bits and bobs to the scenery and get the other building painted. Finally, I see the light at the end of the tunnel on this one. Thank you all for your continued support and very helpful comments and I hope that you all have a wonderful day.

Finally finished this one. I appreciate everyone’s support and following along on this adventure. The diorama and idea was Inspired by this photo that I found on the internet. Apologies for some pictures that are duplicates, if a mod could assist as I cannot figure out how to remove them and then move this thread to completed dioramas I would appreciate it. Thanks again everyone
