Looking good Ron.

Thanks for the encouraging posts, chaps.
This'll make you all laugh - It did me......
i needed a green colour to first coat the tank. Anything would do. The missus said she had a can of green spray for her flower arranging.
"Why not use that? It needs using up." sez she.
"O.K." sez me.
So earlier today, I took the tank into the garage and for the first (and last) time I use a spray paint on one of my models. Yes I know, I should have tested the stuff first.
Seconds after I sprayed the tank, the thing started to bubble! I stood helplessly for a few seconds in wonderment as my tank started to melt. Then my brain decided to work. In to a container of water went the tank. Quick thinking eh?! This stopped the lava advancement, but the damage was done.
Then the 'Happy Accident' showed itself. I needed a rough and ready bits of rubble etc texture on the body of the tank and what damage was done on the metal surface is spot on for what I require, so my wife's grossly stupid suggestion worked out o.k.
"Hello dear, yes I'm deleting that last sentence, of course I will, just let me down load some pictures first.....Bye dear"
Here are the pictures of the brilliant colour and texture!!
All's well that ends well. Now to paint the 'Proper Green' - With a paint brush of course.....
Cheers all.

Nasty stuff huh?
Nothing on the tin regarding content. Just an explosive warning!
The wife uses it for spraying twigs and loads of other 'applications' and hasn't melted anything - Yet!
Here's the tank brush painted in Vallejo Air 'Russian Green' Still the tracks etc to paint, the i can start assembling all the elements into the diorama.
These photos clearly show the paint damage. The turret used to have a smooth finish!
Notice all the tank surface has suffered some form of 'Attack'.
Anyway, lesson learned with minimum and luckily 'Workable' damage.
Cheers.

I don't believe you when you say you've no idea where you're going with your dios! Maybe not in detail, but I bet you got some sort of outline in mind! I mean, if you didn't, how do you know the damage from that paint is just what the doctor ordered?😀 1🥰 1Comment

Hi, Big Box!
Of course I have a rough outline/Idea and what to use, but just how to finally present stuff I truly don't know.
Initially I thought to have the tank going merrily on it's way over an intact bridge, with a lady on the bridge selling fresh fruit to the tank crew and them offering to show her around their bit of armour. The husband would wait a while and then ride up on Trigger and throw a Molotov Cocktail into the open hatch of the tank. His secret lover would then show up on a tandem and they would abandon the horse and both mount the bike and ride off into the sunset....
But then I changed my mind.
That paintin' cock up was brill. wasn't it? However, of course I knew it would balls up the whole model, I just couldn't resist the thrill I knew I would get watching the thing melt before my very eyes.
Merry Christmas.

Fortune favours the brave.....
After completing the painting and a simple weathering with a dusting of dry Polyfilla powder (Other parrot orifice fillers are available) I've finally decided just what to do with the tank.
After marking out the cut line on the hull and using a Junior Hacksaw, I cut the thing in two - Brave or what?
I still need to 'Wreck' the tank a tad and generally knock things off it.
So for now it's just loose fitted.
Now I can sort out the river bed around the tank. Fit the plastic and then hopefully, start to bring the water to life.
Cheers.
