I used to love this show - excellent build so far, looking forwards to seeing this one finished.

All you have to do is add one or two of these guys now to complete it

Wow Colin. Just caught up on this one. What a fantastic idea, love the detail. Can we have one from 'It aint half hot mom next' with old shutup standing in the middle of the yard balling, hehe.

              Well done

Thanks (as always) for the comments chaps .......

Mark .... i have another M*A*S*H diorama mentally planned with two helicopter pads as the theme, just have to decide whether to do it in 1/48th (where the choppers are more available) or wait for the 1/35th versions to pop up.

Brilliant Colin, i'm loving this build mate. That "still" is nice, but when will it be ready? A good few of us are thirsty bud.

                    Have fun, John

                        Thanks for the support guys,

Got the main structures in place and a fair bit of the ground work basics laid out, there's a few doors still needed and the outside wooden supports and ties for the tents. The trees are twigs with added twisted wire and foliage to represent Ginkgo trees, the bushes are two strands of wire with short lengths of seperated garden twine twisted into them. (i.e. double a length of wire, attach the folded end to a nail/hook on bench, lay one wire end out on bench, glue it with epoxy, add lengths of twine across it in clumps, place other wire over top, attach both loose end to drill/dremel and slowly twist, the clumps get caught in the twists and create bushes.)

The showers are finished, mainly balsa. The taps are the cross over section from mesh, the shower heads are small road wheels from a 1/72 kit, the pipes are soldering wire, the door handles are just a knotted length of thick thread. i've left the shower roof removable, the latrine is too hard to see into so i've closed it all up.

The tent tops are still removable so the inside detail can be seen (when it's all in there)

Thanks Robert, dustpan and brush are in the lobby mate

Thanks Steve, I may have to jiggle stuff around to display this, i have a book case that i have a few shelves for models (the other shelves are taken up with cereal tubs containing tarantulas (not as weird as it sounds)

I have the top of some vivariums that i display stuff on as well, luckily Elaine's not into ornaments etc so more room for my creations.
