The diorama is looking fantastic Colin, coming along very well indeed. Looking at it brings back memories of childhood TV

well i'm back on this now after a break with the "what-if" build.

Got the important basketball hoop and ball in situ.

Started on the 2.5 t wagon from italeri, i must say the detail is very good and, apart from a little flash on some smaller parts needing cleaned, it's gone together very easily

as it's an open back wagon i'll have to scratch the struts and canvass cover for it, hopefully will look the part when done.

will make a start on the jeeps this week maybe, they'll just be a straight forward build OOB.

Got the majority of furniture made up and will start putting it into situ within the tents in between waiting for stuff to dry etc. should be able to see how much rooms left for other little details then (BJ's got to have a pile of socks ready for the wash hasn't he )

              thank you Polux

Gave the seat a covering of laggers tape to simulate cracked leather.

Made the back up and have glued together the "slatted inners" to form a bench that will be secured inside, should look ok as the bench they used to hold extra stretchers. The back of the truck will have a scratch built canvas top with a roll up canvas door at the rear.

Started weathering the main chassis a little.

So the canvas attempt is done..

added a front board made of balsa and some wire struts of garden wire.

soaked the canvas (camo trouser fabric) in thinned PVA and draped it over the assembly till dry, then trimmed to shape and added some runners to cover the lower edge.

whilst drying i finished the cab.

Painted them up and put them all together and here's the result

Just got to add decals, weather it, add all the ropes/chains etc and paint the red crosses on the canvas

Thanks John, i'm enjoying this and the pics will be comin' a plenty

The rear "bench" is actually a shelf that enabled them to carry extra stretchers, two on the shelf and two on the floor, the free space on the other side was used by the medics en route to the MASH unit.

Colin, I've just spent a most enjoyable time reading this thread from the start......Great stuff, so much detail being put into it.

                            Top work fella!

                              Thanks Ron

The trucks finished (apart from a little weathering to match the diorama when in situ)

There's enough room inside to add figures and a couple of stretchers, maybe some O2 bottles etc.

Next up ... The pair of jeeps
